The Continuous Player
The Method doesn't stop when you hit the ball.
It doesn't stop when the ball goes to your opponent.
And it doesn't stop when your partner takes the shot.
The ITGPB player is always part of the rally.
Your partner hits → you observe.
Your opponent hits → you observe.
You hit → you observe again.
Every Shot Changes the Situation
Every shot changes the situation. Your partner's shot changes what your opponents can do. Your opponent's response changes what you can do next. Your own shot changes the situation again.
There is always something to see, something to anticipate, and a decision waiting to be made.
You may not be hitting the ball, but you are still reading the player, reading the paddle, reading the ball, and preparing for what comes next.
The Method is continuous because the game is continuous.
The ITGPB player doesn't wait for the ball to come to them before they begin playing.
They are playing all the time.
