The Method
Tai Chi Pickleball is more than a collection of shots. It is a way of playing the game by learning to see what is happening, anticipate what is about to happen, and make purposeful decisions based on what you see.
The foundation of the method is simple:
The ITGPB player doesn't step onto the court with a predetermined sequence of shots and try to force the game to follow the plan. Instead, each shot, each movement, and each response provides information. That information helps determine what happens next.
You observe the player, the paddle, and the ball. You use your experience to anticipate what is likely to happen. You act with a purpose—knowing not only what you are going to do, but why you are doing it and what you expect your action to create.
Then you observe again.
The situation has changed, and the process begins again.
This is how the ITGPB player learns to stop simply reacting to the game and begins playing the situation.
